Gore Bike Wear Alp X IV Long Glove

SKU: GOR00109
On cold days, the wind can be a real enemy and cause your hands and fingers to lose their flexibility and feeling. The Gore Bike Wear ALP X IV Long Cycling Glove is made with WINDSTOPPER ® Soft Shell fabric that keeps your hand warm by preventing the wind from penetrating the glove. The palms have gel pad inserts to protect from the vibration and impacts your hands feel whether you are riding on- or off-road. The fingers have a special coating to give you a safe grip on the handlebars. The terry cloth wipe on the outside of the thumb is soft enough so you can rub the sweat off your forehead.

Perfect for fall, mild winter and early spring
I've had these gloves for a year now and I absolutely love them. They are perfect for temperatures in the 40s and 50s, and very good in the 30s. My hands stay just warm enough on very cold days and do not sweat even in the 50s. (Above that I would switch to half gloves.) They are water resistant but NOT waterproof, so although they resist mild showers just fine, they do soak through in a strong rain. This is not a problem when the temps are in the mid 40s or higher, because even when the gloves soaked my hands didn't freeze. But in a chilly, icy rain (say, mid 30s) I would switch to waterproof gloves. And they are not insulated so below 35 your fingers will get cold. But other than those caveats, these are the gloves I wear most often.

can still stay in control
I love these gloves.  They kept my hands warm in weather that must have broken 40 degrees, but I still felt like i had full control of my fingers.  I could shift, break, steer as if I wasnt wearing any gloves.
