The multi-panel, compressive fabric in the Ale PRR Bermuda Bib Short is constructed for more comfort and aerodynamics. Moisture is wicked away when air circulates through the eyelet fabric which is treated with carbon. Even on hot, hard rides, the cyclist keeps dry and very comfortable. The compressive nature of the carbon also improves blood circulation and reduces the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles. The Lycra in the Bermuda bib short is compact and quick-drying. It has a UPF+50 for protection against the blistering sun. One of the qualities that stands out in the Bermuda bib short is the ultra-thin elastic band at the bottom of the shorts. Silicone threads are woven through the fabrics of the band which creates the perfect amount of compression without constricting movement. The “free system bibs” also have the same amount of compression yet non-restricting silicone threads. The 4H chamois pad is made with elastic microfiber padding. In the areas that receive the most pressure, the padding is the thickest. The padding then tapers in the areas that need less of the padding. The end result is that the cyclist has just the right padding without excessive bulk in the seat area. The density of the padding is calibrated and breathable on all covered points so the shocks and stresses of the road are absorbed by the padding and the cyclist stays comfortable even on long, bumpy rides.
