Castelli cycling apparel began in the 1910s designing Castelli bike wear for five-time Giro champion Alredo Binda. In 1940, champion cyclist Fausto Coppi came to Castelli asking them to design lighter Castelli bike clothing to help increase his speed. This challenge led them to revolutionize Castelli bike wear, making all Castelli cycling apparel lightweight for high performance. Castelli continues to work with some of the world's top professional cyclists, designing them Castelli bike wear to make racers faster and perform better.
