The Castelli Free Unlimited Bib-short is a rugged performance piece for rides over gravel or dirt. A cyclist who rides gravel or dirt needs to use more of his body to keep moving forward. He also needs bib-shorts that won’t snag on branches or crease on a pedal stroke. The Unlimited is made with the high compression Forza fabrics that has 32% Lycra® content for a perfect fit no matter how many logs you hop over on a trail. The compression also helps support your muscles as you are putting in all-out-efforts to get through the hairier sections of a trail. In case of a tumble which is nearly impossible to avoid on the dirt, Dyneema® side panels are 15x stronger than steel so they’ll withstand the tearing that could happen to a traditional pair of bib-shorts. The bib straps on the other end are lightweight and they stay in place while also staying dry. The leg endings are sealed with a raw-cut edge which keeps the shorts comfortably in place. Even the waist has a raw cut edge which increases the stretch keeping the shorts better in place. Storage pockets are designed into the Unlimited so you can forgo a traditional pocketed cycling jersey. Two rear mesh pockets and a large compression pocket on each leg are lined with extremely light and fast wicking fabric. Finally, the soft Progetto X² Air seamless seat pad feels amazingly comfortable and has enough padding for comfort over long distances.
