The Ale Crono 2.0 Grenada Skin Suit is an aerodynamic and compact time trial skinsuit designed for the cyclist who is riding leaned forward in the TT position. Ale used a wind tunnel to test the features of the Crono 2.0 Grenada Skin Suit. By this advanced testing, Ale found the right combination of fabrics and new innovative cuts to adhere to the shape of the serious competitive cyclist. A gripper Lycra material is used for the bottom leg of Crono 2.0 Grenada shorts. Thanks to its internal surface with micro dots of silicone, the garment stays in constant contact with the skin. The compact, compressive features of the Lycra enhance performance by increasing circulation and eliminate the build-up of lactic acid in the muscles. Mesh, a highly breathable fabric, has been inserted into the parts of the body that heat up the most so the rider stays cool and his skin stays fresh. Eyelet fabric with carbon has several comfort-enhancing features—not only is it breathable and cooling, but the fabric helps to absorb the shock of the road and diminish the fatigue a cyclist feels from riding over miles of bumpy roads. The 4h chamois pad has a central channel that relieves pressure and protects nerve endings. The padding has been designed so the rider has the right amount of thickness in the most sensitive areas of the body. The padding is moderate enough so it doesn’t interfere with the smooth pedal stroke of a rider who is time trialing at his fastest TT speed. The soft, elastic microfiber adjusts to the shape of the body so no matter what the position of the cyclist, he is always protected.
