When designing the Assos CS.speedfireChronosuit_s7, ASSOS streamlined the standard speed suit to make it even faster. The Assos CS.speedfireChronosuit_s7 was worn to the World Time Trial Championship by Amber Neben and Fabian Cancellara who both became World Time Trial Champions while racing in the CS.speedfireChronosuit_s7 in 2016. Every detail in the Speedfire suit has been designed so a time-trialist feels comfortable in the TT position. The suit does not bunch up while a rider is leaned over thanks to a scooped neck, narrower shoulders, and a torso that looks like a V when the wearer is standing up. ASSOS even placed thumb loops on the ends of the sleeves to keep the arms stretched out for a flat, aerodynamic surface. The top half of the speed suit is made of a highly compressive 3D jacquard Lycra with a textured surface. The suit fits close to skin and its surface moves fast through the wind. The bottom is based off ASSOS’ fastest Camponissimo bib shorts which were created using type.444 Kompressor, a stretchy, lightweight fabric that feels silky soft against body while creating a perfect surface for airflow. The seam is in the back, so the front is perfectly smooth. The spandex keeps the legs from riding up so Assos designers could eliminate the leg gripper to ensure complete comfort. The Mill_S7 insert is ASSOS’ most time trial specific chamois pad that uses an 8mm memory foam to strike the balance between comfort and performance. A three-layer foam with perforations makes the chamois pad light and breathable so a time trialist stays dry and comfortable. The Assos CS.speedfireChronosuit_s7 is a proven speed suit now made available for all ambitious time-trialists.
