Astute Mudlite VT Nylon/Carbon is a cycling seat designed for high intensity off road riding where technique and speed are required to win a race. Enduro champion Alex Lupato helped Astute engineers find the right combination to make a lightweight, durable and comfortable off road seat. The open U-shaped shell in 15% carbon-fiber reinforced nylon creates less pressure in the sensitive perineal area. The rubber layer that covers the shell minimizes vibrations. Vibrations are further absorbed by multi-density Memory Foam that is softer in the front and thicker in the back to support the sit bones. Further protection is provided in the back of the shell with a Bumper D-system that reduces road impact while riding. All the features in the Mudlite are focused on handing the rider’s comfortable when he is taking on big jumps and dips on off-road trails. A waterproof microfiber coating has been added to create a surface where water roles off the seat, Furthermore, the microfiber is soft, comfortable and easy to wash. The 125 mm X 260 mm dimensions are sleek enough for a racer but wide enough for comfort on long distances. The Asymmetric Rear Design System has a unique soft-touch bow for ultra-comfort. The VT seat that translates from “verta” or open in Venetian dialect has a central cut-out to eliminate pressure peaks in the pelvic area. The tension arc distributes body weight to reduce chafing against the seat. The full carbon rail is durable and lightweight.
