Quality fabrics, a close fit, leg grippers, flat-lock stitching, and KISS Air² seat pad provide an entry-level race quality bib short at a more affordable price. Castelli incorporated much of the technology they use in their top-of-the-line pro-level race shorts to provide a pair of quality bib-shorts for those who don’t want to invest in the pro level Free Aero Race 4 Bib Short. The Vortex BLC textured fabric on legs creates a smooth surface for airflow and it supports without constriction. The Affinity Pro Lycra® fabric on the inside of leg won’t get caught up on the saddle because it stretches and rebounds on each pedal stroke. Mesh straps have been added to increase how quickly the shorts evaporate sweat. At the end of the bib shorts, the GIRO4 leg gripper has a raw edge to create a smooth transition between skin and bib short while the silicone stripes grip without pinching. The KISS Air² seat pad has been improved with a more anatomically designed shape, a higher-density foam, and a softer top fabric.
