Castelli used the latest PrimaLoft® as insulation. It’s the closest to natural down in its softness and warmth, but unlike natural down, it is more breathable and easy to wash. The warmth of the material creates a vest that can be used as an insulation layer while the Nylon ripstop outer layer keeps the wind off. Used with a light under jersey, the Core Warmer Vest can be used to block away chilly wind. Moisture (aka sweat) escapes through the laser cut ventilation holes to keep the cyclist dry and ventilated.
