The Castelli Elemento 2 7x(air) Jacket provides full wind protection and is the most breathable jacket on the market. The Elemento is seven times more air permeable than standard cycling jackets made with Windstopper fabrics. The secret to this permeability is the Windshear inserts placed in 50% of the jacket. A fully wind- and waterproof outer layer is quilted into a fleece inner layer. Stretchy wind-resistant fabric with stitch holes has just the right amount of air permeability. Air circulates through the open fabric so rider sweat evaporates and body heat exits. The rider stays dry and will not overheat in the Elemento Air Jacket. Body warmth is maintained with the ridges created by the design. Air pockets form in the ridges and provide extra insulation without adding extra weight.
