Castelli LW 2 Bibtight

The LW in the Castelli LW 2 Bib-tight stands for light winter. The LW Bib-tights are designed for moderately cold weather which are usually the months a cyclist is getting in those long rides. The upper portion of the bib-tights is made with Thermoflex fabric which keeps you warm. A thinner, water-repelling Lycra is added to the lower legs. The Lycra blocks any moisture coming up from the street and its high ventilation keeps a rider from overheating. These are long-distance bib-tights, so the maximum number of features was included to ensure complete comfort. Castelli has made them with their best seat pad, the Progetto X² Air Seamless. The Progetto X² protects your skin while providing the right amount of padding in the right areas to keep you comfortable on your marathon bike rides. At the skin layer, a four-way stretch microfiber is soft and it moves with your body nearly eliminating saddle sores. The perforated foam backing evaporates body moisture, so you stay dry. The padding thickness varies depending on where a cyclist needs the most padding. Perforated viscous padding is added under the ischial and perineum pressure areas which are the most sensitive. The padding gradually thins so you don’t feel you are sitting on a diaper, but instead feel you are on seat pad contoured to fit your body. The seat pad will feel completely comfortable whether at the beginning of the ride or at the end of a 100-miler.
