The Castelli Mortirolo V Jacket was designed to handle the rigors of the Mortirolo climb in Valtellina, a notorious climb in the Italian Alps taken on by the top racers of the Giro d’Italia. The Mortirolo Jacket is made with the Gore® Windstopper® X-Fast fabric that blocks wind while the fleece allows sweat to evaporate along with bringing in enough ventilation to keep a racer from overheating when riding at high intensity. The fabric is stretchy, making this a true race jacket; the Mortirolo fits close-to-skin and it doesn’t crease or pinch thanks to the combination of construction and fabrics used in the design. For extra ventilation, the easy-to-open YKK® zipper opens up on-the-fly when a racer needs extra cooling as he is climbing up a mountain road. The 3 rear pockets have reflective panels that light up when a car is approaching a rider on low lit days.
