The Castelli Nano Flex Pro 2 Omloop Bib Short is the short for cold and wet weather. Castelli’s new Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric keeps out water and is very warm thanks to the new double-face tightly knit construction that insulates while allowing air to circulate so the rider stays dry. The fabric has a treatment on the outer layer that blocks rain and wind. Besides protection from the elements, Castelli has added features to ensure comfort. Seams have been minimized and a raw edge at the bottom of the leg has been designed so it stays in place without pinching. The legs have been cut just above the knee to add a bit of extra warmth. The Progetto X² Air seat pad is designed to keep a rider comfortable on long distances. A soft, stretchy, seamless, o layer close to skin is designed to fend against saddle sores. The edges of the cushioning layer are thin, but gradually thicken to maximum thickness under the ischial bones where you sit. Perforated viscous comfort padding is added under the ischial bones and in perineum area for maximum padding in these highly sensitive areas. The padding means these bib shorts have enough padding for protection on long rides while still being thin enough so no excess padding interferes with the rider’s performance.
