The Nano Flex fabric in these bibshorts is warm and resistant to water that bounces off the shorts. Even the seams have been minimalized in order to keep rain out. The extra length of the Nano Flex fabric finishes just above the knee. In order to make these comfortable, Castelli engineered a raw-cut edge, tapered for extra coverage in the front but shorter in the back so it doesn’t bunch behind the knee. The Nano Flex is another advancement Castelli has made in clothing technology to perfect cycling gear that protects competitive cyclists in unfavorable weather. The warm brushed fleece on the inside keeps a cyclist warm and cozy while a nanotechnology water-repellent surface treatment makes water run off the fabric. The mesh bib straps have extra ventilation so they feel light and stay dry against skin. Castelli added in their best Progetto X2 Air seat pad to make sure a cyclist is comfortable riding over bumpy roads and seated on long endurance rides. The skin surface of the seat pad is smooth and porous. It adjusts to the shape of the body while allowing air to circulate keeping rider comfortable.
