Castelli Sanremo RoS Thermosuit

Castelli combined two of their best-performing winter cycling pieces, the Perfetto RoS Long Sleeve with the Sorpasso RoS Bib-tight to make the Castelli Sanremo Rain or Shine Thermosuit. The Sanremo is a highly versatile winter skinsuit that covers flawlessly in weather ranging from bitterly cold, wet winter training rides to cool but sunny fall and spring races. Why go for a one-piece suite? By removing bib straps and layers around the waist and then replacing them with one piece of material, you will feel more comfortable leaning over the bike on longer rides. The Nano Flex 3G fabric around the waist is superbly soft and stretchy so it fits most body types comfortably. By preventing cold air from coming in from the opening at the waist, you will maintain more body heat and feel warmer. On the front side of the upper portion, the Gore-Tex Infinium™ Windstopper® 205 Warm fabric is a fleece-lined fabric that blocks wind through its billions of pores that are smaller than air molecules. Wind is blocked but conversely body moisture evaporates keeping you dry. The Gore-Tex Infinium™ Windstopper® 203 Stretch has been placed on the back of the upper portion. The stretchy fabric creates an aerodynamic surface for airflow. The Sanremo is designed with performance in mind. Besides aerodynamics, the fabric wicks sweat. While wicking sweat, light raindrops will roll off the sleek performance fabric. The lower portion comes from Castelli’s Sorpasso RoS Bib-tight. The main Nano Flex 3G fabric is Castelli’s best winter fabric for bib-tights. Warm, highly breathable, and splendidly supple, the fabric moves with your body. You’ll have a perfect fit no matter what position you settle into on the bike. Body warmth is sustained, but when you sweat that moisture is pulled out. Even when the temperatures rise and the ride gets faster, you won’t get bogged down by sweat. The Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric on the upper front and thigh keeps you feeling good in dry and wet conditions. Warm and breathable but at the same time the nanotechnology treatment creates a surface for water to roll off. The Progetto X² Air seamless pad is Castelli’s best chamois pad for long competitive rides and races. A microfiber top layer has a four-way stretch with a seamless construction that minimizes abrasion. A perforated foam backing circulates air and evaporates moisture. The design offers complete comfort against your skin. Castelli spent years perfecting the density and location of padding. Pads are thicker under the sit bones and thinner on the sides and under the perineum; perforate viscous padding is added under the extremely sensitive ishial and perineum pressure areas.
