Castelli Sorpasso 2 Wind Bibtight

If you want to ride through the winter months when the temperatures drop to below freezing, the Castelli Sorpasso 2 Wind Bibtight are the tights for you. From torso to just below the knee, the bibtights are made with Gore® Windstopper® fabric; wind will be blocked and rain will bounce off the bibtights. The Gore fabric is also very comfortable. The lower legs are made with the wind and water resistant Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric. Riding on wet roads when wearing the Sorpasso 2 will not be a problem: Road spray water rolls off the tights. On the back of the legs, the stretchy Thermoflex Core 2 fabric fits perfectly and keeps you warm and dry. A lumbar support band at the waist keeps the bibtights comfortably in place as you are leaned over on the bike. Castelli engineers worked with racers on the road and in wind tunnel testing to create the Progetto X² Air seat pad which has become Castelli’s most comfortable seat pad for long distance rides. The Progetto X2 has a soft, stretchy, seamless, o layer close to your skin designed to protect against saddle sores. The density of padding varies; the edges of the pad are thin, but they gradually thicken to maximum thickness under the ischial bones where you sit. Perforated viscous comfort padding is added under the ischial bones and in perineum area for maximum padding in these highly sensitive areas. The padding makes these a pair of bib shorts with enough padding for protection on long rides while still being thin enough so a rider can be leaned forward with no padding interfering with a smooth pedal stroke.
