Team Sky’s Johan Van Summeren won the 2011 Paris-Roubaix. Since that year, Team Sky continues to show a strong presence on this ruthless cobbled course that has taken thousands of racers down since the race started in 1896. The tortuous roads vibrate the cyclists’ bodies and their hands feel the tremors of riding over the cobbles. Castelli designed the Team Sky Roubaix Gloves to protect the hands of the Team Sky riders who take on bumpy roads in races such as the Paris-Roubaix. Extra padding has been added to absorb the shock of a jarring road. The silicone grip padded palm allows the cyclist to keep a grip on the handlebars no matter how sweaty the hands. The Lycra back provides a smooth surface for airflow and the pull tab makes it easy to pull on and off.
