Kask Protone Helmet 3D dry: The tridimensional 3D DRY padding utilizes a multi-layer open cell construction process: high technology for the best comfort and performance. Aero Control: Incredibly aerodynamic and top performing shell, tested in the wind-tunnel and able to provide a really impressive CX rate. In any position the head will assume the outflow of the air will be perfectly in line with the helmet. Bag included Coolmax: Inner padding that is removable and washable. ECO Chinstrap: Chin pad with eco-leather chinstrap Frame In case of shock it prevents the helmet from breaking into pieces M in moulding: The innovative “in moulding” technology, joining the inner polystyrene cap to the outer polycarbonate one, ensures better shock absorption. MIT: The MIT Technology, applied to all KASK cycling helmets, guarantees a higher degree of safety and complete protection thanks to the polycarbonate layer that covers the shell on the top, on the base ring and on the back. OCTO FIT: Rubberized Micro Dial adjuster provides improved finger grip. Floating cradle contact points combine internal gel pads for optimum comfort. These supports are designed to oscillate freely through 180° allowing a perfect fit on any shape of head. The Skeletal Brackets of the cradle have been designed and refined to provide the best fit and support whilst being as light as possible     Sanitized: Inner padding fabric treated with anti l and antimicrobial Sanitized® process. Kask’s engineers worked with Team Sky’s top level professional racers to design the Kask Protone Helmet, a highly aerodynamic, well-ventilated cycling helmet for the serious cyclist. The front of the helmet has large vents while the top is smooth. The vents provide cooling and the top creates an aerodynamic advantage. The Protone is not classified as a time trial helmet, but it is a highly aerodynamic road helmet. Out the back of the Protone, six channels provide an outlet for the incoming wind so the rider stays well ventilated on hot days. The Protone fully encompasses your head. The helmet reaches low at the front and low at the back. This design covers your head in case of a crash. Security is further enhanced with a polycarbonate body that is bonded to an EPS foam shell and then secured over a frame. This construction allows the helmet to absorb impact and maintain its structure in case of a crash. The Protone passes the EN1078 safety helmet certification. EN1078 is a European standard that covers helmet construction which includes having enough field of vision, shock absorbing properties and retention system properties (chin strap and fastening devices). The adjustment system is complex but easy to tweak as it wraps around the lower back of your head making it more secure and rising it higher on the safety rating. The Octo Fit adjustment is very easy to fine-tune for the exact fit. The Octo Fit makes you feel like the helmet is sitting lightly around your head, not just over it. The rubberized Micro Dial is easy to grip and adjust with fingers. The clicky dial at the back can independently adjust the sideways position of the occipital pads as well as the horizontal position of the helmet. On the inside of the helmet, the contact points of a floating helmet have gel pads that provide a soft surface between helmet and head. The front and lower pads of the inner padding are made out of anti l, removable and washable Coolmax® material. The padding at the top of the helmet is made from 3D Dry, a perforated, breathable material. The Protone stays cool, clean and free, a quality necessary for a helmet that stays in close contact with your head for hours at a time. The eco-leather chinstrap is another outstanding feature to make the Protone helmet stand out. It is easy to wipe clean with a wet cloth and its an-allergic treatment avoids any irritation of your skin. The lightweight 230 grams of the Kask Protone Helmet is being worn by a number of Team Sky’s riders in the Tour de France. It has been road and wind tunnel tested to find just the right combination of features to make a highly aerodynamic cycling helmet with great ventilation and top-notch comfort.
