LAZER HELMET Z1 MIPS

The Lazer Z1 MIPS is a top end road race helmet with exceptionally protective features. It’s lightweight, well ventilated and protects in case of crash. The Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) has been added into the construction of the Z1. The MIPS adds another layer of protection by creating a low friction mid-layer that reduces rotational forces in case of a crash; a replication of the brains own protective system. This helps to diminish potential brain injury in the case of a crash. Other features have been added for protection. At the front, the temple drops down to protect the temple area. Reinforcements have also been made for superior helmet resistance against multiple impacts. Durability is not the only feature that would appeal to a racer. The Lazer Z1 has 31 vents and is one of the lightest weighing helmets around. Styling wise, the integrated wing at the top of the helmet looks contemporary. Besides looks and weight, the Lazer Z1 also provides a road cyclist comfort and aerodynamics. The ARS® fitting system is fully joined together into the helmet. At the top of the helmet, a smooth thumb wheel controls the tension of the helmet around the rider’s head. The system completely surrounds the head and allows for an exact fit. It is symmetrically tightened without any pressure points on the head. This all means the helmet fits perfectly and it’s amazingly comfortable. Besides the comfort, the thumb wheel needs only one finger to adjust it. The adjustment is fast and easy to make. The shape and adjustability of the ARS basket means it grips the back of the head snugly but allows enough space for a ponytail. Durable, lightweight, extremely well-ventilated and a perfect fitting helmet have earned the Z1 winner of the 2015 TOUR Magazine Helmets of the TdF test and winner of the 2015 Cycling Plus magazine Best Package award. Additionally, an Aeroshell can be snapped around the Z1 helmet to protect against rain, snow or cold wind. The Mudcap is a small piece that has been installed at the back of the Z1 helmet to allow the installment of an LED light and LifeBeam heart rate monitor. The LED light increases your visibility on low lit days and the LifeBeam heart rate monitor can read your heart rate without any strap around your chest.
