The lightweight SIDI DEFENDER 20 mountain bike shoe fits perfectly while having the tread needed to keep you upright as you are jumping off and hauling your mountain bike over un-rideable obstacles. The Politex upper is made of several different overlapping layers that complement each other. The combined material gives a mountain biker a durable mountain bike shoe that supports the foot on rugged trails and is breathable so the rider’s foot stays dry. The compacted PVC is made of knitted fabric and felt and then film dyed for long-lasting color retention. The material won’t tear, stretch or fade, much needed features when riding over trails littered with branches and other debris that can take its toll on your cycling shoes. Adjust SIDI’s Techno-3 System to fit along the entire length of the shoe. It adapts the upper to the shape of the foot for a tailored fit. SIDI perfected the fit with their WIRE material that is completely non-binding, making adjustments quick and easy. The Techno-3 buckle is serviceable and replaceable. The Outdoor rubber high performance sole provides comfort and a great surface to transfer leg power into the pedal. It’s designed for a variety of different types of trails while it sheds mud and grips as you are leaping over debris with bike on shoulder. The sole has a 4-hole plate for SPD pedals. The reinforced heel keeps the foot in the ideal position and ensures the shoe isn’t deformed with extreme on- and off-the-bike movements. The pull tab on the heel makes it easy to slip into the Defender 20 mountain bike shoe while the adjustment system ensures the shoe stays on when you are locked into your shoe and ready to take on the challenges of an off-road trail.
