The SIDI Mountain Bike Frost Gore Tex Cycling Shoe is a lightweight, well-secured mountain bike shoe designed to keep a mountain biker’s feet warm and dry in cool, moist weather. The outer layer of the Bike Frost Shoe is coated with the “Water-Tech” treatment that creates a surface where water rolls off. Beneath the treatment, the GORE-TEX® membrane contains pores 20,000 smaller than a water droplet so water can’t get in, yet it’s 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule so sweat can evaporate. An internal gusset provides extra protection against cold, wet weather. The ankle-high design with a water-repellant treatment along with the Techno-3 system provide a serious, competitive mountain biker a cycling shoe that protects the foot while cruising over off-road mountain bike trails. SIDI’s Techno-3 system provides a full foot customized fit that can be adjusted using SIDI’s easy-to-adjust Wire material. On the upper portion, twist the buckle to take easy incremental steps for the right fit. On the lower portion of the shoe, a Velcro strap is also easy to adjust. When the Velcro is strapped, it stays closed and keeps the foot in place. Additionally, a reinforced heel also keeps the foot comfortably in place. The heel also helps the shoe maintain its stiffness. A well-fitted shoe provides the medium for maximum transfer of power. Made with the new SIDI RS17 MTB sole, the shape of the sole tread is specific for a mountain bike. The design along with a central insert provides a rider’s foot good grip that breaks away mud. The toe area most subject to wear is replaceable by removing the screws. To improve walking, a rider can mount crampons. Yet without the crampons, the RS17 is race stiff while being flexible enough for walking.
